Super Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu inspires a nation with one of the greatest British sporting achievements of all time. A teenage, wildcard qualifier from the UK ranked outside the top 150. A run to the final in the Arthur Ashe stadium didn’t just look unlikely, it was surely impossible.

This brit however had a different plan and was about to show everybody what she was made of after being forced to retire during her 4th round at Wimbledon this year. Without dropping a set Emma raced through her qualifiers and all the way to Saturdays final completely dismantling her more experienced opponents on her way.

Emma was the first british woman to compete in a major final in 44 years and wow did she bring it. Another straight sets victory against a fellow teenage superstar. Another match full of winners, superb defence when called upon and the ability to hold her nerve to ace her way to a fantastic US Open title.

The world is now her oyster. Sponsorship offers coming out of ears and deservedly so. This is just the start for Emma Raducanu, but what a brilliant way to announce yourself on the world stage as British tennis celebrates a new hero.
