8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Portland

Join us for an exhilarating and culturally significant event, the 8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland! On June 16, 2024, we will celebrate the historic day of Juneteenth with a thrilling rodeo experience that showcases the rich traditions and talents of Black cowboys and cowgirls.

The rodeo will feature top riders from around the world competing in events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping. Spectators will be on the edge of their seats as they witness these skilled athletes conquer fierce animals and navigate through challenging obstacles.

But this event is not just about entertainment – it’s also about honoring the legacy of Juneteenth. As we celebrate freedom and independence, we will also pay tribute to the contributions of Black cowboys and cowgirls to the western heritage. The rodeo will include special performances that showcase African American culture through music, dance, and storytelling.

In addition to the rodeo action, there will be food vendors offering delicious traditional dishes, as well as booths featuring local Black-owned businesses and organizations.
