The Schedule

Day One: Ladies Day

Thursday is our hugely popular ‘Ladies Day’, combining thrilling racing with fashion, fun and fascinators in the biggest social event of the calendar. Ladies Day offers a 7 race card, headlined by the Princess of Wales’s Tattersalls Stakes, previously won by Ascot Gold Cup Winner, Big Orange. The competition doesn’t end with the racing, as prizes are given out to the best dressed racegoers off the track.

Day Two: Feelgood Friday

Friday is headlined by a top level contest in the form of the Group One Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes for fillies and mares over a mile. The race offers the first high profile opportunity for the top three year old fillies to test themselves against older rivals and is regularly one to savour.

Day Three: Darley July Cup Day

The pinnacle of the flat season falls on day three: Darley July Cup Day!

The final day of The July Festival is all about the Darley July Cup. This Group 1 Race is one of the most valuable and prestigious sprint races in the world and the winner is often acknowledged to be the best sprinter in Europe. The day is also eternally popular with families who flock to our relaxed garden enclosure for quality time together.
